On Sunday 5th August 2012 Humber coastguard requested the launch of Whitby inshore lifeboat at 9.19am to assist the fishing charter vessel Trojan Warrior.
They were making there way towards Whitby harbour with a male passenger suffering from chest pains and shortness of breath.
OEM Stone III, RNLI Whitby inshore lifeboat launched at 9.25am and arrived on scene at 9.30am. A crew member was placed on board Trojan Warrior with a first aid pack and oxygen as Trojan Warrior continued towards Whitby. Once in the confines of the harbour the casualty was transferred to the inshore lifeboat which landed at the lifeboat station and passed the casualty over to an awaiting ambulance.
