The Real Whitby site aims to give an insight into the lives and issues of the real people of Whitby. With weekly interviews of prominent people and frequent issues posted in the arguments yard section the site aims to show a side of Whitby not published anywhere else on the net.

Here at Real Whitby we believe in freedom of speech. Whilst we endeavour not to publish anything illegal, slanderous or derogatory against a person, we aim to give the real folk of Whitby a voice they maybe wont get anywhere else.

This site relies heavily on user input. On my own Im sure I’ll tire quick and run out of ideas, but with your help (Yes you!!) Im sure we can make this site a great place for all people who live in and visit our wonderful town. So please make good use of the site.

If you have a news story then Id love to hear from you, the news section of this site is there waiting for your stories. If you have issues about something then please let us know and we will publish it in the arguments yard area for yourself and others to debate.

If your a local business person then please make good use of our free Whitby business directory. Navigate to the business submissions page and add your company free of charge.

If your the type of person who likes a good night out, to a restaurant or to the bars and pubs then please do let us know about it. Our review section is ready and waiting so please tell us what you think of whats available locally, by doing so you are helping other people when they choose where to spend their time and money in the town

The Future……

The site is currently in its early days and I will be hard at it to make it work, but as already stated your help is vital, so please contribute as much as you can. In the future I have ideas for some more features including a free classified ads section, amongst other things.
