Savile Associate Jaconelli Finally Exposed As A Paedophile

Jaconelli finally EXPOSED

– by Tim Hicks, reporting on very significant developments in the on-going SAVILE/JACONELLI paedophile investigation.

For some time now, Corruption Busters have been alleging that the former Mayor of Scarborough, Councillor Peter Jaconelli was a paedophile who abused children in his icecream parlours and his Ippon Judo Club as part of a ring involving Jimmy Savile and others.

We have also alleged that North Yorkshire Police were aware of this at the time and turned a blind eye to his depraved activities, because of his status as a prominent businessman, Councillor and Mayor.

Real Whitby can now exclusively reveal that yesterday one of Jaconelli’s victims came forward to formally confirm this to Scarborough Borough Council Chief Executive Officer Jim Dillon, requesting that Jaconelli’s is stripped of his status as an Alderman:

“From: Trevor Harrington
Subject: ASHAMED
Date: 13 February 2013 8:13:45 AM AWST
Mr Jim Dillon
Chief Executive Officer
Scarborough Borough Council
The Town Hall,
St Nicholas Street
North Yorkshire YO11 2HG

Dear Sir,

I am a former resident of Scarborough, now living in Australia. I am very proud to be a Scarborian and keep in touch with events and local news there. I have read the recent press coverage in the Daily Express and the Real Whitby News Magazine concerning Mr Peter Jaconelli with great interest.

I was a member of his Ippon Judo Club and also worked for him at his ice cream parlours as a boy. I can confirm from personal experience that all of the allegations published about this man are entirely correct and he was a predatory paedophile, who preyed on local children . Other witnesses have posted confirmation of the same, including that he had convictions for offences of indecency.

His activities were well known by locals and I do not think for one minute that the authorities were not aware of this which I consider yet another blight that needs attention .

I was therefore aghast to see his photograph advertising Whitby and Scarborough and to read that he was made an honorary Alderman, when in fact he was a child abuser that did a lot of damage to the reputation of both places and to local children, which is ongoing.

I note that Councillor Tom Fox has moved that Jimmy Savile is stripped of his title of Honorary Freeman of the Borough following the revelations about him and I support his action on this.

I am a proud Scarborian and would formally request that Peter Jaconelli is also stripped of his title of Alderman on the same basis, to remove this stain from the history of the Borough.

I thank you in anticipation of your consideration of this request and look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

Trevor Harrington
Proud Scarborian”

We can also exclusively reveal that Councillor Geoff Evans (LibDem – Eastfield) of Scarborough Borough Council has courageously come forward and spoken out in full support of him.

Councillor Evans confirms that Jaconelli was known to him, that Mr Harrington’s allegations are accurate, Jaconelli was a paedophile and had propositioned him.  He further alleges that Jaconelli’s prosecution was prevented only by;

  • political connections with the Consertive Party and the police”.

We have quoted evidence from some of Jaconelli’s other victims in our articles on the Jimmy Savile scandal.  They all completely support the allegations made by Mr Harrington and Councillor Geoff Evans.

  • The case against Jaconelli is now beyond a reasonable doubt.

We endorse Trevor Harrington’s request that Jaconelli be stripped of his status as Alderman and hope that another Councillor will also have the integrity to come forward and support Councillor Geoff Evans, by seconding a motion to remove his status as Alderman – thereby removing this stain on the Borough of Scarborough.

Under these circumstances, Councillor Tom Fox (formerly acting Chief Inspector Tom Fox commanding North Yorkshire Police in Scarborough) can no longer evade the question posed by Nigel Ward.

  • Would the Leader confirm or deny that, as a former ranking Police Officer in Scarborough, and as long-serving leading Councillor since that time, he was aware that elements within the Authorities were cognisant of concerns of the gravest nature in respect of the activities of Sir Jimmy Savile, yet nevertheless played a leading role in the lavish civic honours bestowed upon a man now widely reviled as the worst and most degenerate sexual predator in the Borough’s history?”

If any reader has information they wish to pass on to the Metropolitan Police investigation into the activities of Savile and his associates in Scarborough and Whitby, they should contact:

The Operation Yewtree Incident Room, on 0208 217 6446

indicating they are doing so pursuant to the Real Whitby investigation.

This revelation from these brave people who have opened up their life to public knowledge are to be congratulated. It must take a lot to talk about this, never mind write about it. Councillor, you have truly done a great service.

Also, this is a lesson for those in public life who have been accused on these pages for other alleged wrong doings, it only takes a crack opened up by brave man and the dam will burst.

Apparently Jaconelli got a set of mpobsters from down south to rough up a young lad so he wouldnt talk probably decades ago.

its really smelly that polititians said that we had to watch out because peadophiles were everywhere.

but it turns out that the polititians are the ones who are protecting there peado mates.

Very curious that pedophiles the world over were apparently sweating, according to the police, when they launched Operation Ore.

Then Tony Blair issued a few D-notices. Anyone remember that?

Operation Ore uncovered massive numbers of pedophiles in the US and UK. In all strata of society, also in the Government.

    Then it all went quiet.

No one got put in jail. Now we know why. The politicians (as mark h has just suggested), have something to hide. Perhaps that’s why Mr Fox is being so quiet. But that is just my opinion after all…

I just want to congratulate you all on a superb website and for your perseverance in uncovering the abuse carried out in Scarborough & Whitby. For too long we have been told it’s ‘not in the public interest’ and you are showing exactly what People Power is all about.

Sending you hugs from Team Anders.

Well done Geoff Evans. Does this mean that at long last, although now only a rump of 2, the Lie-Dems are going to start commenting on social issues that are of concern to the people of the Borough? Some years ago they did it rather well but for some years their group leaders have concentrated on keeping the ruling party happy. Or does it perhaps mean that Cllr Evans is to be their candidate for County in May? If he says a few more sensible things about the various forms of corruption from councillors past and present, including promising that if elected to NYCC he will not double-dip, he will, I am sure he will pick up quite a few votes despite his late entry into the field of corruption busting.

It’s a lose/lose situation now for the sly fox. Either he gives a credible answer to Nigel Ward’s question – and explains why he has not done it three months ago – or he resigns and moves to the Falklands.

Savile is due to be removed as a Freeman of the Borough next Friday, so perhaps there will be a motion to remove Jaconelli from the list of Aldermen then?

What about former Councillor and Mayor Peter JACONELLI, Councillor FOX?

Is Councillor Geoff EVANS one of the courageous people to whom you refer, in words of such high praise, in your Proposal to Council, seconded by Councillor Derek BASTIMAN?

And while your about it, I want an answer to my three month old question. How much did YOU know?

Following the resolution of Council on the 5 November 2012‘foIlowing the alleged conduct of Sir Jimmy Savile over six decades and the publication in January 2013 of the report by the Metropolitan Police and the NSPCC, ‘Giving Victims a Voice’ (such copy having been circulated to each and every member of this Cciuncil), it is right that this Council now considers those Endings and makes its decisioh in relation to the outstanding matters contained within the motion agreed by this Council the 5 November 2012.

Following the meeting of the 5 November 2012 the name of Sir Jimmy Savile was, in accordance with the resolution of Council, removed from the.Honour Board for thosegranted the ‘Freedom of the Borough’.

The conclusion of the report’s authors, the police and NSPCC, ‘Giving Victims a Voice’ highlights from the information provided by the hundreds of people who have come forward to Operation Yewtree, that Sir Jimmy Saviie was one of the UK’s most prolific known sexual predators. indeed, they state most clearly the formal recording of allegations of crime on the scale they have encountered, is to the best of their knowledge, unprecedented in the UK.

They report that evidence provided by the victims of his abuse paint the picture of a mainly opportunistic individual who used his celebrity status as a powerful tool to coerce or control his victims, preying on the vulnerable or star—struck, for his sexual gratification.

With such unequivocal report, ‘Giving Victims a Voice’, then this Council moves the following for immediate and permanent resolution in respect of SIR JIMMY SAVlLE:—

HIS NAME SUCH AS MEMORIALS, STREET andfor PROPERTY NAMING OR OTHER HIGH RECOGNITION, OFFICE OR AWARD IN HIS MEMORY and to the matter of such high recognition this Council resolves also:-

    And to the victims:-

Mister Fox has blown all credibility anyway. This move by Cllr Evans is very brave and the first sign of honourable behaviour for some time at Scarborough Town Hall. I expect his arch rival to make no end of political capital from the leaders inexplicable silence, which reflects very poorly on the police too. The wind of change is gathering strength.

For every day there is a ‘no comment’ from those who are asked direct questions there is another day lost from putting all this painful history in the past.Once it is addressed openly and honestly victims can perhaps feel vindicated and place all shame on the perpetrators where it belongs. Child sexual abuse is about boundries and trust and one of the worst responses is to evade the issue when a victim ‘tells’. This feels like being abused all over again. All involved in covering up these reports or anyone involved even peripherally needs to now make a clear statement about what they do know and what they were instructed to do and by whom. Until everyone is brave enough to do this the past will continue to taint the present and victims will not be able to recover, and all of us will be fearful of who we can and cannot trust.

Just read your comment and so true I am a survivor of horrific abuse imposed upon me as a helpless motherless child as I remembered the horrors and suffered shock or pstd one of the ongoing crimes against me as a thinking feeling human being was the covert behaviour of others who deny the facts obstruct natural justice and the all pervading unnatural secrecy surrounding cases like mine.
I note changes and the truth emerging is the first step to healing for individuals and communities at last we can all begin to move forward in positive ways.

    Well done, Whitby!

Plymouth has a very similar abuse of power, with a criminal defence lawyer who blackmails vulnerable clients into sex ( mainly boys and youths ), and who is protected by police.

It is a tragedy that Plymouth lacks a group such as yours, because I successfully exposed the lawyer last year, and was run through a kangaroo court under the Public Order Act, and convicted.

People are too scared to stand up and be counted, even though the first victims are ready to speak out.

The court was aware of this, but refused to let me call any witnesses, banned me from cross-examining the two main prosecution witnesses, and the policeman blatantly lied. That lie would have collapsed in a moment had the District Judge been willing to walk 100 yards, and look at the lawyer’s offices just outside the court, but this, like every single other request, was brushed aside.

So if anyone wants to know why Jimmy Savile got away with it for so long, and this lawyer in Plymouth too, it is because the system itself protects them.

The question we need to address, is “Why?”

Best wishes to your campaign, Zen.

Yes Rod you are correct, I think that their total refusal to engage with all allegations made against our “leaders, elders and betters” (use of none capitals intentional)- and SERVANTS could ensure that the Conservatives could be voted into political extinction. They have inserted themselves in very high places in order to abuse vulnerable children and OUR LAWS have been used to cover their backs… This has to end now!! Ask questions, send emails, take videos. Hello Geoffrey, this is just a quick letter of support with regards the rot you have chosen to uncover in the system know as Mayor/Alderman PETER JACONELLI (SAVILE side-kick) as a PAEDOPHILE, plus the insane and some-what Unlawful Police COVER-UPs that are seemingly rampant in your area. I very rarely write, but this time thought it only right & respectful to thank you personally for all your hard work and dedication in this matter.

According to that ‘Express’ article, his nephew, Dennis, didn’t know of the accusations. The mind boggles. It was common practice in the Jaconelli family never to discuss PJ’s sexual proclivities, even in private, but to say they were not known is being economical with the truth in the extreme. What he means is that the family preferred to turn a blind eye and a fat wallet.

  35. rod mathers February 22, 2013 at 10:47 pm - Reply

According to the Scarborough paper, Coun Fox has finally denied ever knowing anything about Savile’s crimes. Why has it taken him so long? And why was there no mention of P Jaconelli? Contrary to one comment above, PJ was convicted of a sex offence. Unlike Savile.

And why was the very courageous Coun Evans’ allegation passed over without a word? I doubt if anyone will be fooled for long by all the blarney. I sincerely hope it won’t be too long before another Coun finds his or her courage.

Surprise, surprise Jaconelli was a paedophile-not! When i was at college in the seventies our evening entertainment was watching his minders pointing to young lads the pointing to cars. The boys got in the cars and were driven off with men. Boys in my class would go down to his cafe at lunchtime and he gave them money to come back in the evening. They didnt go back but we did have a drink with his money!
