Peter Jaconelli to be Stripped of Honours

Following allegations made by Real Whitby over the past eighteen months and featured on the BBC “Inside Out” documentary broadcast on 10th February 2014, this draft  Motion has now appeared on the Scarborough Borough Council website, here:

The Motion includes no recognition of the investigative work carried out by the Real Whitby team.

JACONELLI_MOTION

Proposed by Cllr Tom Fox and seconded by Cllr Derek Bastiman

I ask that Council moves the following for immediate and permanentresolution in respect of Peter Jaconelli

  • That the honour of ‘Alderman’ be removed forthwith;
  • That the honour of the title ‘Mayor’ be removed forthwith;
  • That all reference to Peter Jaconelli as ‘former Mayor’ cease:

• To include the permanent removal of his name from the honours board for the Alderman of the Borough and Mayor of the Borough;

• This Council and successor Councils respect the resolution to include no endorsing or supporting matters brought forward in his name such as memorials, street and/or property naming or other high recognition, office or award in his memory.

And to the victims:-

This Council publicly praises the courage of those who have come forward after such a long time to report such serious crimes

• Following on from ‘giving victims a voice’ we recognise and continue to have empathy with all victims, whoever the offender, whatever the situation including empathy and support for those who have yet to come forward.

At last but in regards to the last sentence. Pass the sick bag. They tried to shut down the one avenue that gave a voice.

It will be interesting to see what Jim Dillon, CEO of Scarborough Borough Council, and Tom Fox, Leader of Scarborough Borough Council have to say about this.

The very serious allegations were reported to Jim Dillon on the 13th February 2013 by one of the victims. The allegations were copied to all Borough Councillors the same day.

For a year this issue appears to have been sat on by the Council. Only when the BBC Inside Out programme was aired on 10th February 2014 did anyone appear to take any notice of the allegations.

This behaviour is completely unacceptable for a Local Authority. A full and frank account of what Scarborough Borough Council did and did not do needs to be made public.

      Dear Tim,

      I agree.

SBC tried to close down Real Whitby we were all threatened with being sued and bankrupted, SBC also accused us of being criminals. When asked to confirm what it was they alleged was defamatory or wrong, SBC was unable to specify any inaccuracy in its coverage and then blatantly lied to the BBC. North Yorkshire Police threatened to arrest me and sue me if I carried on commenting on their failure to arrest Jaconelli and his accomplice Savile. Police and Crime Commissioner Mulligan verbally abused Real Whitby at a public meeting in Scarborough last week accusing us of sending “disgraceful” e mails about this issue, whilst offering no condemnation of Jaconelli or the police cover up that protected him and allowed hundreds of Scarborough children to be openly abused from 1947 until 1999.

There is no mention of Real Whitby, or any expression of gratitude over the quality of our investigative journalism, nor any expression of regret over the treatment we have had from the Council or the Police, and the threats to sue us or have us arrested still stand.

This just shows the power of bureaucratic intransigence and the importance of having free speech and a free press to counteract it.

      Tim

Perhaps Jackonelli’s status as Aldeman and Mayor of the borough should remain in place for ever ?? As a permanent reminder of the refusal of some individuals in a position of power to actually accept and deal with reality. They chose that path, they defended him for years and they ignored witnesses and hard evidence. Perhaps the words Pedophile protector should be etched onto the desks and doors of various individual at SBC. The removal of the name and any connection with SBC should not let those involved in a cover up walk around free of shame, they are a disgrace to the whole of the borough and should be ashamed of what they have done.

A council has no powers to expunge its records.

      Dear Kathy,

Over the course of this investigation SBC tried to close down Real Whitby, Glenn, Tim, Nigel and I were all threatened with being sued and bankrupted, SBC also accused us of being criminals, North Yorkshire Police threatened to arrest me and sue me if I carried on and Police and Crime Commissioner Mulligan verbally abused Real Whitby at a public meeting last week accusing us of sending “disgraceful” e mails about this issue.

Thank you for your kind comment. It helps make bearing the campaign of intimidation we have all suffered worth while.

      Best regards,

      Tim

Proof, as if any was needed, that titles such as Alderman, Mayor, etc. are just badges of shame. Cllr. Kenyon, now Kenyon-Miller, was elevated to the ‘Aldermanic’ hierarchy, last year, after a political career, still ongoing, which saw her Chairing the NYPA and NYPA Management Board, during a long period, when public money was squandered on a grand scale, and the reputation on the North Yorkshire Police hit the deck (“that particularly dubious police force”). Something about ‘the lunatics are running the madhouse’ comes to mind here. Trebles all round, and a particularly large one for our Aldermen.

Informants continue to come forward. The discomfiture of some members of the Council appears to be a recurrent theme. The truth is slowly emerging about who instigated the Council threats against Real Whitby, and why.

This final year of the current Council, as we approach the elctions of 2015, promises to mark a turning-point in the appalling corruption that marred the TREBBLE/BOSOMWORTH and DILLON/FOX years. Only then will the SAVILE/JACONELLI legacy be expunged.

One thing is certain; the new Council will comprise a very different assembly of elected members. I expect to see more names removed from the Honours List in due course.

As for Tom FOX and his aspirations to replace Julia MULLIGAN as North Yorkshire Police & Crime Commissioner – well, time will tell (as others delight in doing).

    We live in interesting times.

Well done Tim, Nigel, Glen and everyone of the real Whitby team. I have a feeling those still in the seats of sbc think by disgracing jaconeli and rightfully stripping the evil turd of its honours that it will draw the heat off the fact that they blatantly ignored the pleas of abusers and clear evidence of the heinous abuse of innocent children. The disgusting pigs who did this are fortunately dead but the paedophile protection corporation are still hiding under their desks. Very interesting times indeed Nigel. Heads are going to start rolling I think? 🙂

Typo! I meant to say the pleas of the abused.

The game continues. Legal threats and bully boy tactics continue. But we will continue too.

I would like to echo Barrie’s comments, well done Tim, Nigel, Glen and everyone of the real Whitby team.

The team has faced some very serious charges and false allegations yet stood fast and shown true courage, many people would have crumbled under the pressure and threats. I am so pleased that something positive has come from such hard work. Those that sought to silence the Real Whitby team and force the closure of the website should hang their heads in shame.

Ms. Kenyon is still standing proud despite the seriousness of her actions, but who knows what the future holds. She ought to be very wary of the Real Whitby bloodhounds.

Well done all those who supported the Real Whitby campaign…

      Dear Colin,

Thank you for your kind remarks. It has been tough, especially the legal threats from SBC solicitor Lisa Dixon. However, we have come through and emerged with our reputation for accurate reporting enhanced and significantly increased readership figures.

We have been doing a lot of work on Councillor Jane Kenyon-Miller recently. I hope to publish a major article on her soon.

      Best regards,

      Tim

    Bureaucrats love ‘controlled situations’,
    and by definition,
    Real Whitby is uncontrollable.
    .
    Bureaucrats love to threaten,
because lies and cover-ups are their stock in trade.
    .
    Respect to Tim Hicks,
and hoping to read many more exposures.
    .
Bureaucrats need humbling into the dust,
because their arrogance knows no bounds.

    Best wishes, Zen 🙂

There are some problems with this that are only actionable with a time machine.

“That the honour of ‘Alderman’ be removed forthwith;”

He’s dead. He’s no longer an Alderman. He ceased to be an Alderman in 1999 when he died.

“That the honour of the title ‘Mayor’ be removed forthwith;”

He’s no longer a Mayor. And you’re only a Mayor for the one year you are a Mayor, he ceased to be a Mayor in May 1971.

“That all reference to Peter Jaconelli as ‘former Mayor’ cease”

But he was a Mayor. If somebody asks “who was mayor in 1970-71?” is the answer now “I’m not allowed to tell you!!!”

It is pleasing to note that the Title of Alderman is to be withdrawn from former Councillor Peter Jaconelli. “Can the people of the Borough of Scarborough and the County of North Yorkshire expect similar action with regard to a Director of the California Corporation Belvedere Computers Inc. of Bulingame c.a. USA.”? The Corporation was suspended by order of the Franchise Tax Board Sacramento c.a.USA in 1982. As far as I am aware the Corporation remains suspended to this day. “How can it be that the Secretary, CFO, Director, and Agent for Service of Process of a suspended California Corporation be allowed to be active in Public Life”?
