“Just in time for the summer season, our beer garden will be transformed with planters and hanging baskets. And the improvements to our kitchen will mean that we can upgrade our menu to include Whitby fish and chips, handmade burgers and pasta dishes, pizzas and chargrilled steaks as well as other pub favourites and a carvery every Sunday.”
The Dolphin, situated on the riverside next to the swing bridge, is well known for its range of six cask ales – including a choice from Whitby Brewery – and 28 craft gins as well as offering overnight accommodation in its six letting rooms. It will feature Sky and BT Sports plus Racing UK for the first time and will host live music every Friday and Saturday night.

It is in a great location and I am sure it will become a firm favourite with local people and visitors to Whitby. I look forward to working with Richard and his team as they develop the business going forward.”
