Another icey shot from the Whitby area this morning submitted by site contributor Andrew Jones. This picture is of the waterfall at Golden Grove which had frozen solid after recent overnight low temperatures of minus 10.

    Thats definately near Staithes. Cant remember the name of the little village but its the top side of Staithes near borrowby. Theres a nice little pub there and its behind the pub. Im right arent I !!

    Off topic – but I had to share this!

    A guy goes to the supermarket and notices an attractive woman waving at him.

    She says hello.

    He’s rather taken back because he can’t place where he knows her from.

    So he says, ‘Do you know me?’

    To which she replies, ‘I think you’re the father of one of my kids,’

    Now his mind races back to the only time he has ever been unfaithful
    to his wife and says, ‘Are you the stripper from the bachelor party
    that I made love to on the pool table with all my buddies watching
    while your partner whipped my butt with wet celery???’

    She looks into his eyes and says calmly,

    My home Hamlet, never been able to find any historical references. The house where my family live was the old hotel. Any one know anything about Golden Grove from WW2 era, I have heard lots from passers by over the years when I lived there
