Danby Beacon Lit For The Queens 90th Birthday

Thursday 21st April saw the lighting of the Beacon at Danby in Celebration of The Queens 90th Birthday.

The Beacon at one of the highest parts of the North York Moors National Park was lit by Lord Downe at 7.30pm, following the lighting of the queens own Beacon at Windsor Castle just minutes earlier.

More photographs of the lighting of Danby beacon can be found on Glenn Kilpatricks North York Moors Photography Blog here.

Great photo of the Beacon. Pity the fracking “royals” weren’t in it 🙂
