I don’t get it. What’s that brown smudge on his nose for?

It really saddens me to see a British Chief Officer of Police that has been reduced to being the subject of such well justified public ridicule.

Just because she was the Chair of the Police Authority, he could still have maintained his independence and the dignity of his rank.

The wanted poster in the background says it all.

It baffles me what Scarborough and NYCC can be playing at – Kenyon is clearly not fit for public life, and police action should also have been taken regarding her non declaration of interests. That the police still refuse to take action is worse than disgraceful. Can this officer not see that all police officers are tarnished in the public eye by what he has done, or failed to do? Or does he not care? The whole affair is sickening.

      Dear Alan,

I quite agree. The only honourable course of action for them now is to either sue or resign. In my view they should both stand down in the best interests of the service and the Council.

In the case of Madgwick, this is a very sad end to his career that he should be reduced to this.

Mutton dressed up as turkey. Look at that neck. There’s nowt more embarasing than a hag of seventy trying to pass herself off as a woman in her prime.

      @ ‘sheila winston’:

Might I ask you, please, to refrain from making personal remarks about the people who appear in the ‘photoons’?

Granted that everyone has a right to an opinion, it is both more effective and more polite to constrain one’s comments to criticism of the protagonists’ actions in public life. How Mrs KENYON-MILLER contends with the ravages of the years is strictly her business – not ours.

      Thank you.

        Dear Sheila,

I concur with Nigel. Councillor Kenyon-Miller actually looks very well turned out, as is appropriate for the Chair of the Police Authority at an official function.

I tip my hat to a lady of true integrity. I wonder if a copy of this letter will be sent by Lisa DIXON to each of the Scarborough Borough Councillors?
